Unarmed officers observe, deter, document, and summon response; they do not physically intervene in hostile confrontations, and we will say so plainly when a post genuinely warrants an armed officer instead.
- Post orders. Every post gets written orders: patrol routes and intervals, what to check, who to call, what to document, and the escalation chain. Officers are not left to improvise, and your management team reads the same document the officer works from.
- Officer selection. Officers are matched to the assignment, not handed the shift because they were available. Armed posts are staffed by TX DPS Level III commissioned officers. Every officer, armed or unarmed, is fully vetted through thorough national level background checks.
- Supervision. Field supervisors run unannounced post checks, and GPS tracking confirms patrols happened on schedule rather than on paper. Callouts and coverage gaps are handled by the supervisor on duty instead of landing on you.
