Protection That Stays in the Background

Done right, executive protection is something you feel rather than see. Op6 agents plan ahead — advance work on venues and routes, threat assessment, and quiet coordination — so the protection is seamless and the principal can stay focused on what matters.

Whether you need a single discreet agent for a sensitive meeting or a full detail for a public appearance, our agents are selected for judgment and composure, trained to a federal-grade standard, and capable of operating low-profile or overt depending on the situation.

Every engagement starts with a confidential consultation and a risk assessment, so the plan fits the principal rather than a template. From there, Op6 handles the details that keep protection invisible — advance work on venues and routes, secure-transport and route coordination, liaison with venue and local security, and a clear chain of command for the team on the ground. Whether it is a single sensitive meeting, ongoing executive travel, or a high-profile public appearance, the goal is the same: calm, professional coverage that lets the principal move freely and stay focused on what matters.

How We Operate

Discreet, Disciplined, Prepared

Great protection is mostly preparation. Our agents do the quiet work in advance so the day itself is uneventful — exactly how it should be.

  • Advance work on venues, routes, and contingencies.
  • Threat & risk assessment tailored to the principal.
  • Secure-transport coordination and route planning.
  • Low-profile or overt posture to fit the situation.

In Practice

International Executive Protection & Travel Security

Executive protection does not stop at the state line. Op6 covers movements outside Texas and outside the United States — a single overseas meeting, a multi-city itinerary, or an extended assignment abroad. The work starts well before the principal travels.

Advance work. Routes and traffic patterns, venue layout and access points, hotel selection and room placement, nearest hospitals, and the local security and civil situation. Where the assignment justifies it, an agent goes ahead of the principal. Where it does not, the advance is done remotely and verified on the ground on arrival.

Airport and FBO movements. Airports are where exposure spikes: published schedules, fixed choke points, public curbside. Arrivals and departures are planned around that, private aviation and FBO handling is coordinated where it is being used, and time on the ground is kept short.

Secure transport. Vetted drivers and vehicles, a primary and an alternate route agreed in advance, and a follow vehicle when the threat picture calls for one. Movements are timed, not improvised.

Armed coverage abroad. Firearms laws overseas are not Texas laws, and no honest provider will tell you otherwise. In most countries, armed coverage is delivered by licensed local providers. Op6 vets and briefs those providers, keeps its own agents working low-profile alongside them, and runs the assignment under one plan with a single Op6 point of contact — so you are not coordinating separate vendors in a foreign city.

Communications and contingencies. A check-in schedule, primary and backup communications, a current itinerary held by a named Op6 contact reachable around the clock, and a written plan for what happens when the schedule breaks. Medical and evacuation arrangements are coordinated through the principal’s existing provider.

International work rewards lead time. Tell us early and the advance is thorough. Tell us late and we will tell you honestly what can and cannot be covered in the time available.

What You Get

How We Build a Protection Detail

Hiring a bodyguard should not feel like a guess. Here is how an Op6 assignment runs, from the first call to the after-action review.

  • Confidential intake. One conversation about what is driving the request — a specific threat, a public event, a termination, litigation, travel, or a change in exposure. Nothing leaves that conversation.
  • Threat and risk assessment. The principal’s profile and routine, online exposure, residence and office access, predictable patterns, and any history of contact from a person of concern. The assessment sizes the detail. Not the other way around.
  • Written protective plan. Venues, routes, access points and exits, nearest hospitals, and contingencies documented before the principal arrives — a plan you can read, not one you are told about.
  • Detail design. Number of agents, posture, armed or unarmed, vehicles, and shift coverage. Armed assignments are staffed by TX DPS Level III commissioned officers.
  • Movement and coverage. Armed close protection agents work distance, positioning, and timing. Unarmed agents do not physically intervene in a hostile confrontation — they observe, report, de-escalate, move the principal away from a developing situation, and summon armed officers or law enforcement.
  • Reporting and after-action. Written activity reports, documented incidents, a named supervisor you can reach during the assignment, and a review afterwards so the next one is planned better.

About the agents. Every Op6 agent is fully vetted — thorough national level background checks — and completes up to 6X the state-required training. Agents are selected for judgment and composure as much as for physical capability. Op6 is veteran-owned and licensed by Texas DPS-RSD, License #C26264901. Personal protection in Texas is regulated work, and any provider you are considering should be able to give you a license number without hesitating.

Coverage & Fit

Corporate, VIP, and Family Protection

Bodyguard covers very different assignments. What changes between them is the threat, the environment, and how visible the protection should be.

  • Corporate executive protection. Travel programs, board meetings and earnings days, annual and contested shareholder meetings, layoffs and terminations, site visits into unfamiliar areas, and the weeks after a public controversy. For the company it is also a duty-of-care question — being able to show that a known risk to a named employee was assessed and addressed. Op6 works alongside in-house security, HR, and travel teams rather than around them.
  • VIP and celebrity protection. Crowds, cameras, and published schedules change the problem. We plan appearances, press, arrivals and exits, hotel coverage, and crowd management with venue staff, and coordinate with local law enforcement where the venue or the event calls for it. An enthusiastic fan and a fixated individual are not the same risk, and the plan should account for both.
  • High-net-worth individuals and families. Residential coverage, daily routines, school and activity movements, and travel. Family assignments are staffed with agents who can work around children and household staff over an extended period without turning the home into a checkpoint.
  • Dignitaries and visiting delegations. Multi-vehicle movement, fixed-site coverage at the hotel or venue, staff and interpreter coordination, and liaison with any agency already involved.

Confidentiality applies to every assignment. Agents do not discuss principals, itineraries, residences, or schedules — not with other clients, and not online.

Scoping & Cost

What Drives the Cost of an Executive Protection Detail

Executive protection is quoted per assignment, not off a rate sheet. Two details with the same number of agents can require completely different work. Here’s what drives the number.

  • Threat picture and profile. A quiet corporate escort and a detail responding to a credible threat are not the same assignment. The risk assessment sets detail size and posture.
  • Detail size and configuration. A single agent, a two-agent detail with a driver, or a full team covering travel and residence. We build to the assessment, not to a template.
  • Armed or unarmed agents. Armed agents hold a TX DPS Level III commission, the same standard our armed officers hold. Some environments call for that; others are better served by low-profile unarmed coverage.
  • Advance work. Venue assessment, route planning, and contingency work happen before the principal moves. Those are real hours, and they are what keeps a movement uneventful.
  • Coverage window. Event-length coverage, a multi-day trip, and continuous residential plus travel coverage each scope differently.
  • Travel and international work. Our executive protection includes international assignments — flights, lodging, ground transport, airport and FBO logistics, and coordination with vetted local providers all sit inside the scope.
  • Vehicles and equipment. Secure transport, additional vehicles, and communications gear.
  • Notice and duration. A standing program is easier to staff than a detail stood up in 48 hours.

Every detail is scoped from a threat assessment and a schedule. Call 832-304-4301 for a confidential conversation.

Common Questions

Executive Protection — Answered

What is executive protection?
Executive protection (close protection) is proactive, planned security for a person — combining advance work, threat assessment, secure movement, and a trained agent or detail. It is about preventing problems through preparation, not just reacting to them.
Do I need an armed bodyguard?
Not always. Many details are low-profile and unarmed; others warrant armed, commissioned agents based on the threat picture. Op6 assesses your situation and recommends the right posture — discreet by default.
How discreet is the protection?
As discreet as you need. Our agents are selected for composure and judgment and can blend in for sensitive settings or maintain an overt presence for deterrence at public events.
What areas do you cover?
Op6 provides executive protection across Texas, including Houston, Austin, the Rio Grande Valley, and statewide travel — and can coordinate close protection for domestic and international travel. Call 832-304-4301 to discuss your needs confidentially.
